2018 was mostly about Uganda, Nigeria and Tanzania. Our projects covered mainly the protection of mothers and newborns. We managed to reach places with extremely high mortality rates caused by perinatal infections.
- We trained midwives and medical personnel in terms of hygiene during childbirth.
- We conducted campaigns and trainings in the field of healthy pregnancy and newborn care.
- We provided sterile delivery kits of basic items necessary for childbirth ensuring the safety of the women and newborns. Our kits were distributed, among others, in UNHCR hospital in the Kyangwali refugee camp.
- On November 30, 2018 in Kampala, we co-organized the Charity Day together with the Good Care Uganda Foundation, launching a campaign which will be used to reduce the mortality of mothers giving birth and newborns in Uganda.
